Description: One of the research focuses of Ace Therapeutics is the development of drugs against various superbugs. This position will experience a variety of research areas in which you will work closely with natural scientists and technical staff. The position entails preparing, conducting and documenting biochemical, genetic engineering and molecular biology investigations with bacteria and participating in the testing of active substances with microorganisms, cell cultures or experimental animals. They will also observe and control scientific experimental procedures, collect data, learn how to evaluate results, and use laboratory-specific software to do so.

Qualifications:

• PhD in biology/chemistry/pharmacology with more than three years of laboratory experience
• Have some research base and practical experience on bacterial resistance
• Good English expression and writing skills
• Good scientific understanding, diligence and sense of responsibility

This position requires making impactful contributions to development programs through the rational design or synthesis of novel bioactive molecules. They are also expected to interpret screening data and generate testable hypotheses to promote understanding, maintain a strong laboratory presence and high level of productivity, demonstrate teamwork in an interdisciplinary environment and promote a culture of openness and innovation.

Qualifications:

• PhD in medicinal chemistry/biology with 5+ years of research experience
• In-depth knowledge of modern drug development methods and technologies with a proven track record of solving complex resistance challenges and experience in antimicrobial drug development
• A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals or evidence of sustained contributions to the field
• Excellent writing and oral communication; strong computer, scientific and organizational skills
